IPL Hair Removal / Reduction
How many treatments do I need?
Hair grows in three different cycles and the Permanent Hair Reduction can only successfully treat hair during its growth stage. Therefore, it is often necessary to undergo a course of 3-6 treatments ensuring that you leave at least 6-8 weeks between each session.
Do I need to take special precautions before and after treatment?
To ensure as many hair follicles are targeted as possible it is also important not to undergo any hair removal for at least four weeks before the appointment or during the course of treatment. The same rule applies to any sun treatments, as a tan will raise the pigment level in the skin and have a severe effect on the treatments success.
Does It Hurt?
Skin type is a fundamental effecting factor in this treatment as due to the high level of pigment in the skin. Tolerance of pain is very individual from person to person, most people describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin.
Can all hairs be treated?
At Eclipse we offer treatments for all skin types and hair types and with our treatments there is little post-treatment care required. Although people with sensitive skin may benefit from using Aloe Vera gel for a few hours following treatment.
How can I be sure the system is safe and effective?
Clinical trials documenting AW3 for safety and effectiveness are carried out by leading doctors prior to the release of the product. The results of these tests are then published in respected medical journals. The settings used for your treatment will be based on the settings recommended by the clinicians who carried out the clinical trials.
Thread Vein Removal
Which thread veins can be treated?
Thread veins on all parts of your body can be treated. The most common treatments are for superficial veins in the facial, chest or leg areas.
As the treatment relies on absorption of light by the haemoglobin in the blood, the most effective results are seen with light skin. The lighter the skin, the more pronounced the contrast between the vessel and the skin, making treatment easier. However, the machines we have, have pre-programmed settings for different skin colours that deliver the correct energy output for your complexion.
How long does the treatment take?
A facial thread vein will only take 5 minutes.

No anaesthetics are required, and most people describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin. You may find it comforting to cool the skin after the treatment.
Do I need to take special precautions before and after treatment?
Since tanning takes place by accumulation of pigment (melanin) in the skin, it is, however, important to avoid tanning (sun, solarium or self-tanning cream) before and during the treatment period. Otherwise your tanned skin will absorb more light, which makes treatment less effective.
Generally, no post-treatment care is needed. But people with sensitive skin may benefit from using a soothing cream for a few days after treatment. We recommend you limit sun exposure and use a sunscreen (SPF 60) for a few weeks following treatment. After treatment of thread veins on the legs, compression (surgical) stockings should be worn for two weeks.
If larger veins on the leg have already been treated (surgery or sclerotherapy), the treatment should be delayed for at least one month to allow the healing process to be complete first.
How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments depends on the body site and the severity of the thread vein. Clinical studies have confirmed that 1-4 treatments usually are needed, and these are timed about one month apart.

Skin Rejuvenation
Is it suitable for all skin tones?
The skin rejuvenation is based on light absorption in melanin and haemoglobin, therefore treatments are more effective on light skin that is not sun tanned at the time of treatment. However, our machines have been pre-programmed for each treatment so all skin tones can ensure they will receive the correct energy output for their complexion.
Age spots contain a substance called melanin, and diffuse redness contains a substance called haemoglobin. When cells containing lots of these substances, they are condensed together, this is where the light will target the area to rejuvenate it almost immediately.
How long does a take?
A facial will only take 5-10 minutes.

Tattoo Removal
What skin types can we treat?
We can treat all skin types with the Allwhite3000 ND YAG Q-switch technology. If you are in good health (no serious health concerns) and do not have hypo/hyper- pigmentation, tanned or Keloid scarring in your family or personal history.
What colour tattoos can we remove?
In principle the laser can remove all kind of tattoos. Since all tattoos are not the same in terms of colour, depth of ink deposition as well as their chemical composition some may respond differently. Black, red dark orange and dark blue tattoos will typically respond better to treatment with laser. However Brown, purple, green, light orange, neon and light blue colours are harder to remove and will require more sessions.
How does it work?
Tattoo ink particles are too large for the body’s immune system to remove naturally because when tattoo pigment is injected into the lower layers of the skin (dermis) it becomes locked away by a wall of collagen fibres. Q-switched lasers produce very short bursts of high energy laser light. The light is absorbed by the large ink particles, generating heat that shatters the tattoo pigment into minute particles which the body is able to remove. Because the tattoo ink selectively absorbs the laser energy, the surrounding skin doesn’t overheat and there is no lasting damage.
How many sessions are needed?
Customers will see a reduction after the first treatment however to completely remove a tattoo depending on the ink colour and how deep it is in the skin, it could be between 3-5 treatments with intervals of 6 weeks between treatments. In some clients this more sessions may be necessary for complete removal.
When will I see results?
Results can be observed immediately after the first session.
How long does the treatment take?
This depends on the size of the tattoo; a small tattoo might take 5 minutes, where a large, or multiple tattoos could take an hour or more of treatment. Again, the assessment will provide this information
Does it hurt?
The level of pain felt will depend on the type of tattoos, the amount of treatment required and your own pain threshold. Some clients would describe it as no more than uncomfortable, where others will describe it as an elastic band flicked against the skin. The truth is that you will only know how painful you find it until you try it! We can offer advice on pain relief, which will be given during your assessment.
Does the laser cause scarring?
Although there is a risk of scarring with any laser, in most cases, scarring is not a significant risk for tattoo removal with the ND Yag laser. Tattoo removal has become associated with scarring because the older generation of lasers used for tattoo removal were very aggressive and carried a very high risk of scarring. The ND Yag laser does not heat the surrounding skin significantly and the risk of scarring is much reduced. The risk of scarring is mainly associated with a genetic pre-disposition to forming scar tissue and the presence of resistant, green pigment. To reduce the risk, we carry out an extensive medical evaluation to identify high-risk clients; we also have an adjunct treatment that can stop scar tissue forming and even improve existing.
Lipo
Is it painful and safe?
Yes it is completely safe and non-invasive. Clients feel no pain except maybe some warmth. Laser Lipo technology has been studied for over 30 years for many biomedical purposes. FDA approved for pain and inflammation, this is an innovative technology for fat loss.
How many sessions are needed?
2 sessions per week for 8 times per course. We do not advise more than 2 sessions per week as it is it can cause too much strain on the body to remove all the released fat at once. Any fat that cannot be metabolized by the body would then be restored resulting in minimum effect.
How does the fat eliminate the body?
The released fat is used by the body as a source of energy. By avoiding fatty foods within 48 hours after treatment the body will use the released fat as energy rather than the food resulting in the weight staying off.
How long does a session take?
For skin types 1-3 treatment session can be from 20 minutes – 60 minutes maximum. The longer the treatment the better the result. However if combining with cavitation then the recommended time would be 40 minutes lipo followed by 20 minutes cavitation.
Skin Types 4-5 we recommend 20 minutes maximum for laser lipo as it can cause hyperpigmentation if left on the skin for too long and to make up the remaining treatment time with cavitation between 20-40 minutes.
(1= Fair Skin)
(5= Dark Skin)
How much fat is expected to be lost in 1 session?
This depends on the individual. For example you can lose anything between 3-10cm along your waist line (per session)
Ultrasonic Cavitation
Is ultrasound cavitation painful and safe?
Yes, cavitation is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally but will be highly unlikely to cause any actual pain. The heat from the hand pieces felt during the treatment is perfectly tolerable. This treatment is a nonsurgical procedure without anaesthesia – it’s non-invasive and no downtime should be experienced after the treatment.
Fat is a solid substance? How can it be eliminated through the urine?
Because ultrasound cavitation causes the fat cells to turn to liquid (emulsification) this makes it easier to leave the body through the lymphatic and urinary system.
How many sessions are needed?
2 sessions per week 8 per course per area. Any more than this (per week) and it would cause too much stress on the body to eliminate the fat.
How long is a session?
Depending on the size of the area a typical treatment would take between 10-40 minutes.
Non-Surgical Facelift
Is it painful and how safe is it?
Yes 100% safe, RF is a painless treatment.
How many sessions are needed?
2 sessions are needed per week. 8 sessions for maximum results.
How long is a session?
The treatment time will vary depending on the treatment area however a full face would usually take 20 minutes.
Wrinkle Reduction Treatment
Does It Hurt?
The sensation will vary from client to client. The sensation that is felt depends upon the amount of melanin found in the skin. The sensation is described as a heat sensation and a few clients say it is light mild sunburn after the treatment.
What to expect?
IPL wrinkle treatments will show mild redness of the skin initially after the treatment. This is a good sign the treatment has worked and sufficient heat has been pushed into the epidermis.
How many sessions are needed?
On average 1-6 treatment at 4 week intervals are needed for the best results. The level of collagen boost depends on your skin type so results do vary. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
